The Lord Imrahil sat tall upon his war horse, Maeros, and looked
down on the battlefield below. Dark, writhing masses of Skaven were the only
thing to be seen. Near the back tolled the Screaming Bell, sending the
disgusting creatures into a frenzy, driving them insane with blood lust. Imrahil
remained calm. At his side, the ancient sword White Fury hummed with
excitement at the approaching battle. The Lord gave the order for the
Knights of Bretonnia to pray to the Lady of the Lake. The banner was raised and
all the knights knelt in humility and reverence. Slowly, a shimmering
mist raised from the ground and enveloped the Knights of Bretonnia. The mist was
calming and familiar to Imrahil, recalling his days for the search for the
Grail. He thought he could he hear the voice of the Lady speak in his mind:
"slay the craven foes of Bretonnia and realize the destiny of your
people."
Imrahil arose, his determination and self-confidence as strong as Dwarven steel.
All the knights now rose and mounted their war horses. Imrahil drew White Fury
and it shone like fire on the hill. He cried out, "Forth my brethren!
Our enemies seek destruction at our hands. Let us not deny them their
fate!"
And with that the all the knights charged forward like an unstoppable
force. The Skaven knew they were doomed..
